Fall Adult Wellness - YOGA+MINDFULNESS Program. Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm Sept 15, Oct 13, Nov 10, Dec 08 45 mins Yoga w/ Coach Sara + 45mins Mindfulness Strategy with RCC Anita. Program designed to support Adults, and/or Parents of Teens, with Anxiety working on mindfulness tools, language /terminology and support strategy with coordinated progression of content over the course of 4 sessions, so that shared language and mindfulness practice can be supported outside of sessions. WHAT TO EXPECT The sessions consist of recognizing, understanding, sharing, processing, and discussing scenarios and challenging / troublesome issues in order to understand the problem / triggers and develop tools and strategies to manage / lessen or eliminate it completely. Adult &/or Your child/youth’s participation in these sessions will increase awareness of others and self-awareness concerning mental health issues. Children/Youth will be encouraged to express /discuss through a variety of modes of expression. Some yoga and movement should be expected. Portions of group work may take place outdoors. Payment in full as well as completed waiver and consent forms are required prior to participation, by all participants. IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE : All attending participants should have agreed and be attending the program voluntarily and not arrive/attend under duress. For the safety of all Participants and all staff - all pre-existing behavioural conditions or concerns should be reviewed prior to & or disclosed at registration. Please contact us directly with any questions regarding program suitability for your youth. Anita Sharma (Registered Clinical Counsellor) will consult, review and make a recommendation on a case by case basis) CONFIDENTIALITY We respect and guarantee each and everyone's right to privacy and confidentiality within our program and registration process. All disclosures, and everything that is discussed in this group remains confidential, with the exception of threats to oneself or to another person, which are reportable. If information is obtained regarding child welfare, your counsellor is required to report this as well. GROUP NORMS Discussions made within the group are kept confidential. Members should maintain positivity and must not be disrespectful towards others. For primary aged children, parents are an important part of 'homework' activities to help support new cognitions and practice new skills.
